Suudi Arabistan'da restoran pazarlaması: «yakınımdaki restoran»dan her gün dolu bir masaya

The decision happens in the map pack, not on your website

When someone types "restaurant near me" or "best mandi in [district]", Google shows three businesses in the map box before any organic result. Most searchers never scroll past it. Your position inside those three matters far more than page-one organic rank — and relevance, distance and prominence decide it, not how attractive your website is.

Intent here is immediate: decided in minutes, on a phone, often while already heading somewhere. Every point of friction — an untappable number, a menu that will not open, an imprecise map pin — converts directly into a customer who went next door.

The most common mistake in this sector

A generic primary category: "Restaurant". It is the worst available choice, putting you in competition with every restaurant in the city while losing every specialised search. The primary category should be precise — "Levantine restaurant", "Mandi restaurant", "Burger restaurant" — with secondary categories added after.

The difference is not theoretical: "Levantine restaurant" has lower volume than "restaurant", but the searcher knows what they want and converts to an actual visit at a far higher rate.

The menu: the biggest wasted asset

Most restaurants publish the menu as an image or a PDF. Google cannot read dish names inside an image and cannot match them to a search. Every dish-specific search — the highest-intent search there is — goes to a competitor who published their menu as text.

What we do instead: a real text menu page, each section headed, each dish named, described and priced, with structured data (Menu and Restaurant schema) so Google can surface dishes and prices in results. It is one of the fastest-acting improvements in this sector — we did exactly this for the Bab Touma project, whose menu was locked inside an image before the rebuild. See our portfolio.

Reviews: a ranking factor and a decision factor at once

  • Ask at the moment of satisfaction — at payment or right after the meal, not by message three days later.
  • A QR code on the table or receipt leading straight to the review page multiplies the response rate.
  • Answer negatives with a specific apology and a corrective action, not a template.
  • Never buy reviews: a sudden wave from new accounts is the fastest route to a restricted profile.

Photos: seen more than your website

Profile photos are viewed many times more than your site. Add photos monthly — dishes, the room by day and by night, and the street frontage so people can find you. The frontage shot in particular reduces "I couldn't find the place", a common cause of a negative review that has nothing to do with the food.

Keeping what changes current: branches and seasons

Ramadan hours, a closure for an occasion, a new branch, price changes — all of it belongs on the profile the same day. With multiple branches, each needs its own profile and its own website page with its address, map and hours. A single combined "Our Branches" page competes in no district's search.

Delivery apps versus direct orders

Delivery platforms bring orders and take a commission. Direct orders keep the full margin — which makes owning position one for your own restaurant name the highest-return point in the sector: a customer who discovered you on an app and then searched your name should find your site, not the app page that charges you commission.

What is actually measured

  • Direction requests from Google Maps — the closest digital proxy for a real visit.
  • Calls from the business profile.
  • Average rating of new reviews per month (not the cumulative average, which hides decline).
  • Direct-order share versus platform orders.

What we deliver

Profile setup with a precise category and fresh photos, a website with an indexable text menu and structured data, a dedicated page per branch, a review-collection system, and district-level local campaigns at peak hours.
